Previously: When Thomas asked his young son who kept him safe during his secret hospital stay, he expected his wife's name. Instead, the boy pointed at the maid—and exposed a chilling betrayal.

A New Beginning

The realization of his wife's cruelty broke something inside Thomas, but it also forged an iron resolve. He stood up, placing himself squarely between Sarah and their son.

"Your social standing is officially over, Sarah,"

Thomas said, his voice deadly calm.

"And so is this marriage. I want you out of this house tonight. My lawyers will contact you in the morning, and I will make sure the court knows exactly how you abandoned our son."

Sarah gasped, her eyes widening as she realized the gravity of her defeat. The golden facade had completely shattered. She tried to reach out to Thomas, pleading, but he turned his back on her. Realizing she had lost everything, she turned and fled the room, leaving the estate in disgrace.

Thomas turned his attention back to Elena, who was quietly wiping away her tears. He walked over to her and took her hands.

"You risked your job to comfort my son when he was abandoned by the person who should have loved him most,"

Thomas said softly.

"I can never fully repay you for your kindness, Elena. But from this day on, you are no longer our maid. If you accept, I want to hire you as Leo's official guardian and a coordinator for our family's actual charitable works, with a salary that reflects your true worth."

Elena looked up in disbelief, fresh tears of joy filling her eyes.

"Thank you, Mr. Henderson. I only did what any loving heart would do."

Leo ran over and threw his arms around Elena's waist, a bright smile finally breaking through his tears. Watching them, Thomas realized that true family isn't defined by blood or social status, but by the hands that hold you when you are most afraid. Sometimes, the greatest protectors are the ones who walk quietly among us, carrying love where it is needed most.
