"Mr. Sterling, when you signed the prenuptial agreement, you agreed to an immediate lifestyle and asset forfeiture clause in the event of physical or emotional abuse, documented by legal and medical professionals. We have the security footage from the entryway, and we have the medical report detailing the physical assault on Ms. Mariana's face."

Eleanor gasped, clutching her gold silk collar. "You can't do this! Ryan is your husband! Where am I supposed to live? Who is going to pay my allowance?"

Mariana stood up, looking down at the two people who had tried so hard to break her.

"The allowance I generously provided you is officially revoked, Eleanor. And Ryan, your business is bankrupt. You wanted to protect your mother so badly? Now you can share a studio apartment with her."

Ryan fell back into his chair, the reality of his ruin finally washing over him.
