Panic seized Marcus as the reality of his ruin set in. He fell to his knees, his expensive light grey suit gathering grease from the garage floor. "Mr. Sterling, please! I didn't know," he begged, his voice cracking. "I was only trying to protect my daughter. I thought... I thought he was just a nobody. Please, don't ruin my life's work!"

Before Robert could answer, a young woman rushed into the garage bay. It was Clara, Marcus's daughter. She gasped as she saw her father on his knees, and then her eyes fell upon Leo. Seeing the angry red welt on Leo's neck, she rushed to his side, gently touching his face.

"Leo! Oh my god, what happened?" Clara cried, tears welling in her eyes. She turned to her father, her expression hardening. "Dad, did you do this? How could you?"

"Clara, you don't understand," Marcus stammered, scrambling to his feet. "I was doing this for you! But... you have to tell Mr. Sterling to forgive me. He's going to ruin us!"

Clara looked at Robert, then back at Leo. She had loved Leo when she believed he was just a humble mechanic, completely unaware of his family's massive wealth. She had fallen for his kindness, his work ethic, and his heart. "I don't care about the money, Dad," Clara said firmly, stepping closer to Leo. "I love Leo. And if you can't respect him, then you don't respect me. I'm done letting you control my life."

Robert looked at his son, leaving the final decision to him. Leo took a deep breath, wrapping an arm around Clara. He looked down at the defeated Marcus.

"I won't let my father destroy your company, Marcus," Leo said quietly, "but not for your sake. For Clara's. But you will never step foot in this garage, or near our lives, ever again. You judged me by my clothes and my job, but character is what truly defines a man."

Marcus, utterly humiliated, nodded quickly and scurried away, leaving the garage in silence. Robert smiled proudly at his son and Clara, knowing that Leo had proven himself to be a man of true integrity. True wealth is never measured by the thickness of one's wallet, but by the depth of one's character and the loyalty of those they love.
