Previously: A cold-hearted art professor destroys her daughter's work, only for the art world's elite to arrive, revealing a shocking truth and a life-changing opportunity. This is Part 1 of a dramatic story.

An Unexpected Arrival

Just as Noah began to gather the tattered remains of her passion, the hotel's grand brass revolving doors blasted inward. A howling gust of storm wind swept into the lobby, carrying with it two dripping figures: Henri Laurent, the 60-year-old Chief Curator of the Louvre, and Camille Dupont, the 48-year-old Managing Director of Sotheby's. Both were drenched, their expensive coats plastered to them, but their eyes held a purposeful intensity. Security guards followed, holding dripping umbrellas. "Halt! Where is Noah Vance?" Henri Laurent boomed, his voice echoing with breathless authority. "The Louvre acquisition committee has unanimously approved her work!" The words struck Vivian Beaumont like a physical blow. Her smug sneer instantly froze, replaced by a mask of paralyzed shock as the color drained from her gaunt face. She stood rigid, a statue of disbelief, as Camille Dupont, her gold spectacles glinting, strode past the professor. Without a second glance at Vivian, Camille knelt reverently before Noah on the rain-mirrored marble. She opened an embossed crimson leather portfolio, revealing official documents. "Miss Vance," Camille said, her voice filled with profound reverence, "Sotheby's has secured an opening private placement offer of ten million dollars for your private collection." Noah looked from the document to the esteemed figures before her, then back at her mother, whose throat bobbed in a panicked swallow. Vivian clutched her pearls, her eyes bulging in disbelief as the world she had so carefully constructed began to crumble around her.

Camille Dupont: "Miss Vance, Sotheby's has secured an opening private placement offer of ten million dollars for your private collection."
