The storm raged outside the Cannes art gallery, mirroring the tempest brewing within. Rain lashed against the floor-to-ceiling glass, and the Mediterranean sea roared against jagged rocks below. Inside, the opulent space, usually a haven of tranquility, felt charged with a dark energy. Jason Vance, a renowned art professor with a reputation as sharp as his jawline, stood before me, Arthur, a young painter whose dreams were about to be shattered. His silver hair was slicked back, his aristocratic features set in a sneer of cruel disdain. He was impeccably dressed in a charcoal pinstripe suit, a stark contrast to my paint-splattered canvas smock. In his hand, he held a jagged silver palette knife, its metallic glint catching the subdued light. My painting, a testament to sleepless nights and raw emotion, rested on an ornate easel, its textured oil surface a vibrant landscape of my soul.

The Professor's Cruelty

"You have no talent, Arthur—this worthless garbage belongs in the gutter!"

Jason's voice dripped with venom, each word a deliberate blow. He stepped aggressively into my personal space, his sneer deepening. My breath hitched, my eyes widening in a paralysis of horror. Before I could utter a word, he moved. The palette knife flashed, and with a sickening rip, he tore through the heart of my canvas. The woven linen gave way, a violent tear signifying the destruction of my aspirations. Lightning flashed outside, momentarily illuminating the savage act and his triumphant, cruel malice.

"You are expelled, and your pathetic little career is finished!"

His words were a final, brutal punctuation mark. I stood frozen, a single crystalline tear escaping, tracing a path down my pale cheek. My chin quivered, the devastation threatening to consume me. The storm outside seemed to intensify, the gallery lights flickering as if in protest.
