Previously: When a rugged biker finds a terrified young woman hiding in a damp alley, a mysterious wristband reveals a dangerous family secret that puts both of their lives on the line.

Once the red and blue lights faded into the misty night, Marcus guided Lily to his custom chopper. He kept his eyes peeled for any signs of trouble as they rode to his secluded motorcycle repair shop on the outskirts of town. Inside the garage, surrounded by the scent of motor oil and iron, Lily finally stopped shaking. Marcus handed her a clean towel and a warm cup of black coffee. "We're safe here for now," he said, pulling up a metal stool. "Now, tell me about that wristband."

A Mother's Last Gift

Lily pulled back her sleeve, staring at the sterile white band. "My mother was a head nurse at the high-security ward of the Crestview Private Clinic," she explained, her voice cracking. "She discovered they were testing unapproved, dangerous drugs on vulnerable patients. When she tried to report it, they silenced her. But before they took her away, she slipped this wristband onto my wrist. She told me it was the key to exposing everything."

Marcus felt a cold shock run through his chest. He knew Crestview Clinic all too well. Years ago, his younger brother had been admitted there, and a compassionate nurse named Sarah had fought tooth and nail to keep him comfortable in his final days. "Was your mother's name Sarah?" Marcus asked, his voice barely a whisper. Lily looked up, startled, and nodded. Marcus’s chest tightened with a fierce, burning resolve. "Your mother saved my brother's dignity when no one else cared," Marcus said. "I swear to you, Lily, I will protect you with my life."

Before Lily could answer, the heavy metal doors of the garage rattled. Bright, high-beam headlights flooded through the dusty windows. The sound of car doors slamming echoed outside, followed by the unmistakable click of gun holsters. Chief Hendricks, the corrupt head of local security who was on the clinic's payroll, had tracked them down.
