A Biker Protects a Terrified Boy Who Reveals His Father Is John Wick
Previously: When a battered twelve-year-old boy bursts into a gritty biker bar pleading for help, a hardened biker's life is turned upside down by a single name.
The Debt Paid in Full
Through the choking haze, figures in black tactical gear burst through the shattered windows. Gunfire erupted, deafening and chaotic. Vance fired his shotgun, dropping the first mercenary who stepped through the smoke, while his crew fought with the fury of cornered wolves. But the attackers were highly trained professionals, slowly pushing the bikers back. Vance felt a bullet graze his shoulder, but he ignored the pain, his only focus keeping the mercenaries away from the bar where Carter hid.
Just as a mercenary bypassed the line and reached over the bar to grab the screaming boy, a shadow materialized from the rear exit. A man in a tailored but heavily torn black suit stepped out of the shadows. He didn't say a word. With lethal, fluid precision, he fired three silenced rounds, dropping the mercenary instantly. John Wick had arrived. He moved through the smoke like a ghost, neutralizing the remaining attackers in a matter of seconds. When the dust settled, the remaining mercenaries fled into the desert night.
John reloaded his weapon, his face bruised and bleeding, and walked slowly toward the bar. Vance stood up, panting, clutching his bleeding shoulder. John looked at Vance, then down at Carter, who scrambled out from his hiding spot and threw his arms around his father's waist. John placed a gentle hand on his son's head, then looked up to meet Vance’s eyes.
"You kept him safe,"John said, his voice quiet but filled with immense weight. Vance nodded, handing the gold coin back to the boy.
"A marker is a marker, John. We're even,"Vance replied with a tired smile. John took his son's hand, looking back at Vance one last time.
"Thank you, friend,"he said, before disappearing into the night. True loyalty is not measured by the battles we choose, but by the promises we keep when the world comes crashing down.
