Previously: When Clara and David visited their twins' grave, a mysterious little girl pointed at the headstone and whispered a chilling truth that shattered their grief.

The Secrets of St. Jude's

The journey to St. Jude’s Home for Children felt like a fever dream. Lily led them down a forgotten dirt road bordered by skeletal trees, eventually stopping before a towering Victorian building. The paint was peeling, and the iron gates groaned as they pushed them open. It looked abandoned, yet there was a faint warmth radiating from the high windows. Lily slipped through the heavy oak doors, and Clara and David followed without hesitation.

Inside, the air was thick with the scent of old wax and floor polish. From the shadows of the grand foyer, a figure emerged. Clara’s breath caught in her throat as she recognized the elderly woman in the dark habit. It was Sister Beatrice, the very nurse who had delivered her twins three years ago at the private clinic.

"Clara? David?" Sister Beatrice whispered, her face draining of color. "You... you shouldn't be here."
"Where are our boys?" David demanded, his voice echoing off the high ceilings. "A girl brought us here. She said they are alive!"

Sister Beatrice stammered, looking frantically toward the stairs. But before she could speak, a clear, sweet sound drifted down from the upper floor: the unmistakable, synchronized laughter of two toddlers.

Ignoring the sister’s protests, Clara and David bolted up the grand staircase. They ran down the long hallway, guided by the joyful sounds, until they reached a sunlit playroom. There, sitting on the rug, were identical three-year-old boys. They had Clara’s blonde hair and David’s bright blue eyes.

Clara fell to her knees, sobbing, but before she could embrace them, a cold voice shattered the moment.

"I see you've found them," a man said from the doorway.

It was Arthur, David’s wealthy and powerful father. He stood there holding a leather portfolio, flanked by two large security guards. Arthur had always despised Clara, believing she was a gold-digger who would ruin the family legacy.

"Father?" David gasped. "What is this?"
"I did what was necessary for the family," Arthur said coldly. "You were never supposed to know."

Arthur said coldly. "You were never supposed to know."
