Previously: Bianca's diamond smile hid a foam belly and a sinister plan. But little Sophie's whisper shattered it all, and Enzo's final decree left everyone gasping for air.

The Phone Call That Changed Everything

The ballroom erupted into chaos. Guests whispered behind their hands, smartphones snapping photos of the fallen guard and the fake belly still lying on the table like a deflated balloon. Bianca's sobs were raw, but Enzo's face was unreadable — a stone wall that had seen too many betrayals.

Sophie stayed close to her grandfather, her small hand gripping his. She had never seen him so angry, but she also felt safe. He was the only family she had left.

Then Enzo's phone buzzed. He glanced at the screen, and his expression shifted — something cold and calculating flickered across his eyes. He answered, and the room fell silent as he listened.

"What do you mean, the real mother is here?" he said into the phone. His voice was low, but every word was audible.

Bianca's head snapped up. Her tears stopped as if a switch had been flipped. "No," she whispered. "That's not possible. She's dead."

Enzo lowered the phone, his gaze boring into Bianca. "It seems your little scheme had a witness. A woman just walked into the lobby, claiming to be Sophie's biological mother. She says she has proof — DNA tests, bank records, and a recording of you paying off the hospital staff to fake your pregnancy."

The color drained from Bianca's face again, but this time there was a glint of desperation in her eyes. She scrambled to her feet, her ruined gown dragging on the marble. "You're lying!" she screamed. "That woman is a fraud!"

Enzo raised a hand, and the security shutters behind him began to lower with a mechanical hum. "We'll see about that. Drago, get up and bring her in."

The guard struggled to his feet, clutching his chest. He shot Enzo a look of pure hatred, but he obeyed. The heavy steel door at the far end of the rotunda opened, and a woman stepped in — mid-forties, wearing a simple beige trench coat, her brown hair streaked with gray. She walked with a quiet confidence that made Bianca shrink back.

"Sophie," the woman said, her voice breaking. "I'm your mother. I've been searching for you for years."

Sophie looked up at Enzo, her eyes wide with confusion. "Grandpa?"

Enzo knelt down, his voice soft. "Sophie, this is your real mother. Her name is Elena. She was forced to give you up when you were a baby — by Bianca's family."

Bianca laughed, a shrill, broken sound. "Forced? She sold you, Enzo! She sold Sophie for a hundred thousand dollars to pay off her gambling debts!"

Elena's face twisted with pain. "That's not true. I was young and scared. Bianca's father — your business partner, Enzo — he threatened to ruin me if I didn't give up the baby. He paid me, yes, but it was blackmail, not sale."

The room fell into a stunned silence. Lawrence, who had been frozen in the corner, suddenly spoke up. "She's telling the truth," he stammered. "I have the documents. I was there when the deal was made."

Enzo turned to him slowly. "You knew?"

Lawrence's face crumpled. "I was a coward. I'm sorry. But I can't let her get away with this — not after what she did to Sophie."

The Hidden Bank Account

Bianca lunged at Lawrence, but Drago held her back. "You weakling!" she shrieked. "You were supposed to be my alibi!"

Lawrence pulled a folded envelope from his pocket. "I was going to use this to save myself, but it's time to tell the truth. Enzo, there's a bank account in the Cayman Islands — set up in your name, but controlled by Bianca. She's been siphoning funds from your company for months."

Enzo took the envelope, his hands steady despite the storm inside him. He opened it and scanned the documents. His face turned a shade of red that made the chandeliers seem dull.

"You stole from me," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "From the company that built my father's legacy."

Bianca's bravado crumbled. "Enzo, please — I did it for us! For the baby!"

"There is no baby!" Enzo roared, and the windows rattled. "There never was. You manufactured a pregnancy to secure your place in my will, and you were willing to destroy a child to do it."

He turned to Elena, who was holding Sophie's hand now. "You will take your daughter home tonight. I'll make sure you're both protected — and I'll make sure Bianca faces the consequences."

But as Enzo reached for his phone to call his lawyer, a new voice echoed through the room. "Not so fast, Enzo."

Everyone turned. It was Drago, but he was no longer holding his chest. He was holding a gun, and his eyes were cold.
