The autumn wind swept through the narrow, historic cobblestone streets, carrying the chill of a late October night. Claire wrapped her olive green utility jacket tighter around herself, her boots clicking softly against the damp stones. She loved these quiet nights in Boston, a rare moment of peace after an exhausting week at the hospital. But the silence was abruptly shattered.
