The Cold-Hearted Grandmother Framed Our Maid, But My Sons Revealed The Truth
Previously: When Clara the maid was arrested for theft at the majestic Vance estate, the truth seemed clear. But a shocking betrayal was hiding right under their roof.
The Truth Revealed
Arthur walked over to the bookshelf and retrieved the small camera. Eleanor’s face suddenly drained of color, her icy composure fracturing in an instant. Arthur pulled up his phone, syncing it to the camera's local storage, and played the footage from the previous night.
On the screen, a figure in a dark satin robe entered Clara’s room while she was downstairs preparing dinner. The camera clearly captured Eleanor’s face as she carefully hid the diamond necklace in Clara's dresser. She had framed the maid to force her out of the estate, desperate to prevent Arthur from growing any closer to the woman who had captured his children's—and his own—hearts.
"How could you?" Arthur whispered, his voice shaking with a mixture of disbelief and fury. "You would ruin an innocent young woman's life just to satisfy your own bitter pride?"
Eleanor opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out. The deputy, realizing the grave mistake, immediately unlocked Clara’s handcuffs. "I'm so sorry, ma'am," the officer muttered, turning his attention to the pale matriarch. "Ma'am, making a false police report is a serious crime."
Arthur looked at his mother with cold finality. "Pack your bags, Mother. You are no longer welcome in this house. You will explain your actions to the authorities."
As Eleanor was escorted out of the estate in disgrace, the heavy cloud over the Vance mansion finally lifted. Leo and Toby threw their arms around Clara, who wept tears of pure relief. Arthur stepped forward, gently taking Clara’s hand in his own. "I am so sorry, Clara. You are a part of this family, and I will never let anyone hurt you again."
In the end, the grand estate was no longer defined by its cold marble and dark secrets, but by the warmth of a family rebuilt on truth, loyalty, and a love that no malice could tear apart.
