A Groom Hurt My Bleeding Daughter, But One Security Camera Ruined His Entire Life
The Nightmare at the Altar
The crystal chandeliers of the Grand Plaza ballroom cast a glittering light over what was supposed to be the event of the season. Instead, the pristine white carpet near the registry table was stained with a chilling drop of crimson. Eleanor knelt on the velvet runner, her champagne-colored silk dress pooling around her, completely ignoring the expensive fabric as she pulled her seven-year-old daughter, Grace, into her arms. Grace was sobbing uncontrollably, her tiny hands clutching her mother’s dress while a thin trickle of blood ran down her forehead from a nasty scrape.
"Mommy," Grace cried, her voice trembling with sheer terror. "I didn't do anything wrong, I promise!"
Standing just feet away was Christian, the groom, looking immaculate in his midnight blue tuxedo. Beside him stood his mother, Victoria, her face a mask of cold, aristocratic disdain. Christian didn't show a single shred of remorse as he looked down at the weeping child.
"That's what happens when you raise a thief," Christian said coldly, his voice echoing across the hushed reception hall. "She got what she deserved when she tried to run with my family's legacy."
He was referring to the precious sapphire ring that had allegedly vanished from the bridal suite just an hour before. Grace had been found near the room, and in Christian's eyes, that made her guilty. When he had cornered the little girl, his aggressive grab had caused her to fall and hit her head against the heavy wooden registry stand.
Eleanor felt a wave of maternal fury wash over her. She wiped the blood from her daughter’s face, then slowly stood up to face the man who had just assaulted her child. But instead of screaming, she looked up, pointing directly at the small, black dome mounted on the ceiling.
"You should have checked the CCTV..." Eleanor said, her voice deadly calm as she glared into Christian's eyes, "...before you touched my daughter."
In an instant, the smug, arrogant expression on Christian's face withered into sheer shock.
