Nora pulled back, startled by the raw intensity in Wyatt's eyes. The microphone remained live, capturing the sudden, tense silence that stretched across the ranch. She swallowed hard, her voice barely a whisper as she answered him. "My mother," she said, her eyes searching his face for answers. "She used to sing it to me every night before she passed away. I was only five years old. It's the only real memory I have of her."

Wyatt felt the ground beneath his boots turn to ice. That melody wasn't just any song. It was a private, unreleased lullaby written by his own mother, Sarah, who had tragically perished in a ranch house fire fifteen years ago. For over a decade, Wyatt had believed he was the only surviving member of his immediate family.
