He Canceled Everything After His Wife Mocked The Maid Who Saved His Life
The Cold Marble Floor
The foyer of the Sterling mansion was a masterclass in opulence, defined by soaring ceilings, glittering crystal chandeliers, and polished white marble that gleamed like ice. Yet, for Ella, it was nothing more than a painful workspace. Dressed in a simple, faded grey dress, her knees pressed against the cold, wet stone, she rhythmically pushed a heavy scrub brush back and forth. Her hands were raw, her shoulders ached, and her heart carried a burden far heavier than any physical labor.

"Cancel everything, now!"
Penelope gasped, her wine glass trembling in her hand. The dismissive smirk vanished from her face, replaced by sudden confusion.
"What?"
George looked at her, his eyes cold and utterly devoid of affection.
"This house is no longer yours."
Ella slowly stopped scrubbing, her wide, tear-filled eyes rising to meet George's gaze.
