He Evicted His Pregnant Ex on the Street, Forgetting Who Built His Empire
Previously: When Richard threw his pregnant ex-wife Olivia out of their mansion to move his new bride in, he thought he won. He forgot who Olivia's father was.
A Father's Justice
Richard’s face drained of all color. He looked from the lawyer to the deed, his hands beginning to shake. Sarah, realizing the gravity of the situation, began to quietly step away from Richard, her eyes wide with sudden panic. She had married Richard for his supposed wealth, but now she was looking at a man standing on a financial trapdoor.
"What does that mean?" Sarah hissed, grabbing Richard's arm. "Richard, tell me this is a joke!"
Harrison didn't let Richard answer. He pulled out a second document, his voice cutting through the evening air like a scalpel. "It means, Mr. Miller, that you have exactly ten minutes to pack whatever fits into a single garbage bag and vacate the premises. Furthermore, we have spent the last three hours freezing your corporate accounts. We have filed a formal lawsuit for the embezzlement of Olivia's personal trust funds during your marriage."
Richard fell to his knees on the very steps where he had stood triumphantly just moments before. He looked up at Olivia, his eyes begging for mercy. "Olivia, please," he pleaded, his voice cracking. "Think of our baby. We can work this out. I was confused. I still love you."
Olivia looked down at him, feeling absolutely nothing but pity. She placed a hand on her pregnant belly, feeling the gentle kick of her unborn child. She realized that the man she had cried over was nothing but a cowardly opportunist who had finally run out of luck.
"My baby will have a family, Richard," Olivia said softly, her voice steady and full of grace. "But you will never be a part of it. Enjoy the gravel."
With those final words, Olivia turned her back on her ex-husband. Her father opened the door of the luxury SUV, guiding her into the warm, leather-scented interior. As the vehicle pulled away, Olivia looked out the window to see the security guards—now under her father's payroll—physically escorting a screaming Richard and a sobbing Sarah off the property, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.
In the end, Olivia learned that while some people build their lives on lies and betrayal, a true family's love is an unshakeable foundation that no storm can ever tear down.
