He Kicked an Elderly Woman Outside the Maternity Ward, Revealing a Dark Secret
Previously: When Thomas brutally kicked a frail elderly woman outside his wife's hospital room, he thought he was protecting his lies. But one spilled bag of apples changed everything.
A Web of Lies Unravels
The hospital corridor erupted into immediate chaos. Nurses and security guards rushed toward the scene, their hurried footsteps echoing loudly against the sterile walls. Thomas quickly tried to compose himself, smoothing down his charcoal blazer and raising his hands in a defensive, innocent gesture as the staff approached.
"She’s a trespasser! She was trying to break into my wife’s private room!"Thomas shouted, his voice dripping with false panic.
"I was only protecting my family from a dangerous stranger!"
Evelyn lay on her side on the cold floor, clutching her hip in agony, tears of pain and humiliation streaming down her wrinkled cheeks. The green apples lay scattered around her like bruised emeralds. As a compassionate nurse knelt down to assist her, Evelyn reached into the deep pocket of her beige trench coat with trembling fingers. She did not pull out a weapon; instead, she produced a worn, laminated photograph and a folded piece of paper.
Jessica, unable to stay inside any longer, pushed open the heavy suite door. Clutching her newborn baby tightly, she stepped into the corridor, her eyes locked onto her husband with a mixture of fear and cold rage.
"What did you do, Thomas? Why would you hurt her?"she demanded, her voice shaking.
"Jessica, get back inside right now! This woman is mentally unstable!"Thomas barked, stepping forward to block her view and control the situation.
But the nurse assisting Evelyn looked up, holding the laminated photograph that had slipped from the old woman's hand.
"Ma'am,"the nurse said softly, looking directly at Jessica.
"I think you really need to see this before anyone else speaks."
Jessica bypassed her husband, ignoring his frantic, commanding protests. She took the photograph from the nurse's hand. It was a picture of a young woman holding a baby girl who had a very distinct, heart-shaped birthmark on her tiny shoulder—the exact same birthmark Jessica’s own newborn daughter had. The young woman in the photo was unmistakably a younger Evelyn.
