Previously: When Richard threw his pregnant ex-wife Olivia onto the cobblestone driveway to impress his new lover, he thought he had won. But Olivia’s phone call to her father changed everything.

The Arrival of Arthur Vance

The heavy doors of the lead SUV swung open, and out stepped Arthur Vance. At sixty, Arthur carried an aura of absolute authority that made even the burliest security guards step back in respect. Behind him, three men in sharp, identical charcoal suits emerged, carrying heavy leather briefcases. These were not just any lawyers; they were the city's most formidable corporate attorneys.

Richard’s smug expression faltered, though he tried to maintain his arrogant posture. He took a step down the stairs, pointing a finger at the older man.

"Arthur, you have no business here. This is my property, and Olivia signed away her rights in the divorce settlement. She has to leave,"

Richard declared, his voice cracking slightly under the pressure of Arthur’s intense gaze.

Arthur walked past his daughter, gently placing a hand on her shoulder to comfort her, before turning his attention back to the steps. One of the lawyers immediately stepped forward, unzipping a leather portfolio and pulling out a thick, notarized document.

"Actually, Mr. Miller, you are mistaken,"

the lead attorney stated, his voice echoing clearly across the stone courtyard. "While the divorce agreement did state that Olivia waived her rights to your personal business assets, it seems you forgot a very crucial detail regarding this estate."

Sarah whispered something anxious into Richard’s ear, her face suddenly pale. Richard tried to laugh it off, but his eyes darted nervously between the lawyers and the black SUVs.

"What detail?" Richard demanded, his bravado rapidly crumbling.

Arthur stepped forward, his eyes locking onto his former son-in-law.

"The detail that this entire estate was purchased through the Vance Family Trust,"

Arthur explained calmly. "You never owned this house, Richard. My daughter allowed you to live here because she loved you. But now? You are trespassing on my family's property."

You are trespassing on my family's property."
