Previously: A brutal act of violence in a dimly lit tavern erupts when a mob lieutenant assaults a waitress. But the true terror begins when the legendary crime boss decides to intervene, delivering a chilling lesson in power and consequence.

A Bloody Payment

With a monstrous heave and brutal, authentic physics, David Holloway hoisted Damian bodily into the air. The mob lieutenant’s flailing limbs were a testament to his terror. Then, with a concussive impact that shook the room, Holloway slammed Damian’s spine and head violently onto the solid, green-veined marble table. Crystal bourbon tumblers and decanters shattered, spraying shards of glass and liquor across the dark wood. Damian lay pinned, his neck trapped beneath Holloway's unyielding grip, his body twitching in bloody humiliation.

The rain continued its relentless assault outside, a stark contrast to the chilling stillness within. Holloway leaned down, his cold stare unwavering. "Lick clean every drop with your tongue before I dump your corpse into the harbor," he commanded, his voice devoid of emotion, absolute in its ruthlessness. Damian, dazed and paralyzed, could only stare back in abject terror. His swagger, his arrogance, his power – all of it had dissolved into a primal fear.

He Slapped the Waitress, Then the Mob Boss Made Him Pay in Blood
The glint of glass shards, the dark stain of liquor and blood spreading across the marble, the silent, terrified waitress watching from the wall – it was a tableau of brutal justice.

I watched, my breath caught in my throat, not in fear, but in a strange, dawning vindication. The man who had struck me, who had violated my space and my safety with such casual cruelty, was now utterly broken. Holloway’s power was absolute, his methods terrifyingly effective. He had not only punished Damian for his violence but had taught him a lesson in respect, a lesson etched in blood and humiliation. As Holloway finally released his grip, letting Damian collapse onto the table in a heap of shattered glass and broken pride, I knew that the old order of fear in this city had just been violently rewritten. Sometimes, justice isn't served in a courtroom; it's delivered with a shattered table and a chilling command.
