Previously: When a wealthy socialite publicly humiliates Grace at a high-society gala for her horrific scars, she expects ruin. Instead, a legendary Admiral arrives to salute the woman they all despised.

Justice and Honor

Grace looked at the stunned faces of the high-society crowd. "For the past six months, I have been working undercover inside your charity," she revealed, her eyes locked on Edward. "We discovered that over twelve million dollars intended for wounded veterans’ medical care had been systematically funneled into private offshore accounts."

Edward stumbled backward, his hands trembling. "That's a lie! You have no proof!"

Admiral Vance stepped forward, opening one of the leather briefcases. "We have all the proof we need, Edward. Captain Sterling secured the encrypted digital ledgers last night. The federal warrants have already been signed."

As if on cue, the ballroom doors opened once more, and a team of federal agents in tactical gear entered the room. The crowd gasped in panic as the agents bypassed the guests and walked straight to Edward and Penelope. Within moments, handcuffs were slapped onto Edward's wrists. Penelope screamed in protest as she, too, was detained for her family's direct involvement in the laundering scheme.

Penelope looked at Grace, her eyes wild with desperation. "Grace, please! Help me! You can't let them do this!"

Grace stood tall, refusing to hide her back any longer. She looked at Penelope with calm dignity. "My scars represent the lives I saved," Grace said softly. "Your actions tonight revealed the ugliness you try so hard to hide beneath your expensive gowns."

As the disgraced elites were led away in handcuffs, Admiral Vance draped his own formal military coat over Grace's shoulders, covering her torn blouse. The remaining guests erupted into a spontaneous, thunderous applause, finally giving Captain Sterling the respect she truly deserved.
