The Three-Second Miracle

The rain lashed against the floor-to-ceiling glass of the luxurious Seattle penthouse, but inside, the atmosphere was thick with wealth and quiet arrogance. Philip, a fifty-year-old real estate tycoon, sat in his state-of-the-art robotic wheelchair, swirling a tumbler of expensive single-malt whiskey. Next to him stood Sophia, his beautiful wife, draped in a shimmering silver sequined evening gown that caught the warm luxury lighting. Everything about their life was perfect, until the heavy oak doors of the dining hall swung open.

A young Caucasian man dressed in a ragged brown coat and sporting a dirty face stepped onto the polished marble. It was Logan. He looked completely out of place in the opulent room, yet his eyes held an unnerving intensity as he marched straight toward the billionaire. The security guards hesitated, caught off guard by the stranger's sheer confidence.

"Sir," Logan said, his voice steady despite his disheveled appearance.

Philip paused, lifting his glass. He stared at the intruder, his brow furrowing as a flicker of recognition crossed his face.

"You?" Philip muttered, his voice dripping with condescension.

Logan didn't flinch. He took one step closer, looking down at the high-tech machine keeping Philip bound to his seat.

"I can fix your leg," Logan declared.

A sharp, mocking laugh echoed through the penthouse. Sophia threw her head back, her diamonds glittering.

"Is this a joke? Get this beggar out of here!" she sneered.
But Philip, amused by the sheer audacity, raised a hand to silence her. He looked at Logan with a smirk.
"How long will that take?"

"Just a few seconds," Logan replied softly.

Amused, Philip smiled.

"I'll give you a million dollars if you can make me feel my feet again. If not, I'm throwing you in jail."
Logan nodded, kneeling before the tycoon's bare foot resting on the metallic footrest.
"Count with me. One..."
Logan reached out. Philip gasped, his face turning pale.
"This is ridiculous. What?"
But as Logan's dirty hands touched his skin, a sudden, burning jolt shot up Philip's spine.
"Two," Logan whispered.

"Two," Logan whispered.
