Previously: Ryan sat quietly in the cafeteria until Jake poured soda all over him. But instead of running away crying, Ryan stood up and delivered a chilling promise.

A Dangerous Leverage

Jake scoffed, stepping back and crossing his arms, expecting a pathetic swing that he could easily dodge. "What are you going to do, write a sad poem about it?" he mocked, but his friends weren't laughing anymore. They could feel the shift in the air. Ryan didn't raise his fists. Instead, he reached into his wet pocket and pulled out a small, metallic flash drive.

He held it up between two fingers, letting it catch the harsh cafeteria light. Ryan leaned in close, speaking in a low whisper that only Jake could hear, though the intensity of his posture spoke volumes to the onlookers.

"Do you know what's on here, Jake? It’s your father's tax portfolio. The one from his investment firm."

Jake’s face instantly paled, the smug grin vanishing from his lips. His father was a prominent local businessman, currently running for city council on a platform of integrity. But Ryan’s mother was the senior forensic accountant who had been quietly auditing the firm's books for the past month. Ryan had helped her back up the encrypted files just the night before.

"You think you’re untouchable because of your family's name,"

Ryan continued, his voice steady and cold. "But your dad has been embezzling millions from the local children’s hospital charity. It’s all right here. Every fake receipt, every offshore account, and every wire transfer."

Jake took a step back, his hands beginning to tremble. The bravado that had defined him for years evaporated in an instant. He looked around frantically, realizing his friends were watching him lose control of the situation.

"You're bluffing,"

Jake whispered, though his cracking voice betrayed his absolute terror. Ryan simply smiled, a dark, victorious expression that made Jake shudder.

"Try me. I press send, and this goes straight to the district attorney. Your dad goes to prison, your college funds disappear, and your perfect little life is over before the final bell rings."
