Arthur Sterling, the city’s most influential real estate mogul, stood proudly beside his daughter, Clara. Clara, dressed in an exquisite silk gown, sat in her silver-framed wheelchair, her eyes reflecting a quiet melancholy that none of the sparkling lights could erase. Ignoring the gasps of the elite crowd, Thomas walked directly toward the head table. He stopped right in front of Clara, his intense gaze locked onto hers. Arthur immediately stepped forward, his face flushed with anger. "What is the meaning of this? Security!" Arthur bellowed. But Thomas didn't look at Arthur. Instead, he kept his eyes on Clara and said with quiet confidence,

"Let me dance with her."

"I know she wants to dance, and I will make it happen,"

Thomas asserted, his voice steady and unwavering. Arthur let out a bitter, mocking laugh.

"Why should I let you get near my daughter?"

he demanded. Thomas looked back at Clara, a deep compassion shining in his eyes.

"Because I can make her stand,"

he replied. Before anyone could react, Thomas knelt before Clara, placing his hand gently on her collarbone. Closing his eyes, he commanded with absolute authority,
