Previously: When Chelsea was pushed to the floor at her sister's wedding, the guests laughed. But they didn't know Chelsea was holding a secret that would ruin the newlyweds forever.

The Ultimate Exposure

The screen, which had been displaying a slideshow of Emily and David’s romantic vacations, suddenly went black. A second later, a loud audio recording began to play through the ballroom’s high-tech surround-sound system. It was David’s voice, clear and unmistakable.

"We just need to keep Chelsea quiet until the wedding is over,"
David’s recorded voice boomed.
"Once the papers are processed, her mother’s trust is legally ours. She won't have a dime left to sue us anyway."

The ballroom turned ice-cold. The smiles vanished from the guests' faces. Emily’s face drained of color, turning as white as her satin dress. David took a step back, stumbling over his own feet. On the giant screen, financial documents began to scroll—bank transfers showing exactly how Chelsea’s inheritance had been illegally moved into Emily and David’s joint account just three weeks prior, bearing forged signatures.

Before anyone could speak, the grand double doors of the ballroom swung open. Two uniformed police officers, accompanied by Chelsea’s attorney, stepped inside. Chelsea walked calmly toward them, her head held high. She turned back one last time to look at her sister and the man she had once loved.

"The high kick was impressive, David,"
Chelsea said, her voice echoing in the silent room.
"But your legal defense is going to need to be much stronger."

As the officers approached the head table to escort David and Emily away for questioning regarding grand larceny and forgery, Chelsea walked out into the cool night air. She had lost her fiancé and her sister, but she had saved her mother's legacy and her own dignity. True justice doesn't always come quietly, but when it finally arrives, it sweeps away the lies like a storm, leaving only the truth to stand tall.
