My Husband Attacked Me in the Hospital Until His Father Exposed the Truth
The Nightmare in Room 304
The sterile smell of antiseptic did nothing to calm the rising panic in Room 304. Clara Vance lay in her hospital bed, clutching her newborn son, Liam, to her chest. Her body was exhausted from hours of labor, but her heart was racing for a completely different reason. Standing over her was her husband, Julian, his face twisted in a mask of pure, unbridled rage. Dressed in a sharp dark brown suit, he looked entirely out of place in the warm, quiet maternity ward. Instead of offering comfort, he was screaming, his voice echoing off the tiled walls.
"Take that, you!"
Julian shouted, punching the air violently just inches from Clara’s face. He was brandishing a crumpled piece of paper, his eyes wild with accusation. Clara wept bitterly, shrinking back into her pillows as she shielded her tiny baby. She couldn't understand how the happiest day of her life had devolved into a living nightmare. A young nurse in light green scrubs stood near the door, frozen in absolute shock, terrified to intervene.
Suddenly, the heavy wooden door swung open. Arthur Vance, Julian’s father, rushed into the room. His grey hair was slightly disheveled, but his navy blue suit and commanding presence immediately shifted the energy in the room. Seeing his son towering over the defenseless mother and child, Arthur didn't hesitate. He lunged forward, grabbing Julian by the shoulders and shoving him away from the bed.
"Get away from her!"
Arthur roared, his voice shaking the room. Julian stumbled back, startled by his father's sudden physical intervention. Clara sobbed, her voice cracking as she pleaded,
"Please stop!"
Arthur ignored his son's furious glare and immediately leaned over Clara’s bed. His stern expression softened instantly as he looked at his daughter-in-law and the tiny baby. Gently placing a hand on Clara's trembling shoulder, he whispered,
"It's okay, I've got you."
Clara looked up at him, tears streaming down her face, feeling a sudden, desperate wave of relief wash over her.
