My Husband's Obsessive Ex Attacked Me in the Hospital Hallway to Destroy Our Family
A Nightmare in the Corridor
The sterile smell of rubbing alcohol and bleach did nothing to soothe Clara’s mounting panic. At twenty-nine, she was thirty-six weeks pregnant, and sudden, sharp contractions had forced her to rush to the hospital. Draped in a light grey gown, she had stepped out of the triage room for just a moment to catch her breath, but her knees buckled. She collapsed onto the cold, white-tiled floor, gasping for air. The blue accent trim on the walls blurred before her eyes as another spasm of pain ripped through her abdomen.
Before Clara could call for help, clicking heels echoed sharply down the hallway. She looked up, expecting a doctor, but instead found herself staring at a vision in scarlet. It was Vanessa. Mark’s ex-fiancée stood over her, her eyes wild and her long, dark brown hair cascading over her shoulders. Without a second of hesitation, Vanessa drew her foot back in her nude heels and aggressively kicked Clara directly in her side.
"You deserve this!" Vanessa shrieked, her voice cold, harsh, and utterly devoid of humanity.
Clara curled into a protective ball around her stomach, sobbing hysterically.
"My baby!" she cried out, the sheer terror paralyzing her.
The heavy double doors nearby burst open. Mark, Clara’s husband of two years, rushed into the hallway alongside Nurse Sarah, who was dressed in sky blue scrubs. Mark’s face went pale as he took in the horrific scene.
"Stop! What are you doing?" Mark shouted, his voice cracking with panic as he lunged forward.
Nurse Sarah acted instantly, stepping between Vanessa and the pregnant woman. She shoved the woman in the scarlet dress backward with authoritative strength.
"Get back, we're helping her!" the nurse yelled, blocking Vanessa’s path.
Mark fell to his knees on the hard floor, cradling Clara’s trembling shoulders. Vanessa stared down at them, her chest heaving, a chillingly calm expression suddenly washing over her face as security alarms began to blare in the distance.
