Previously: When maid Mia disrupted her wealthy employer's funeral with an axe, the grieving family called her insane—until a faint, terrified voice whispered from inside the sealed wooden coffin.

The Accusation

Before Eleanor could pry the splintered lid open, Arthur sprang into action, his panic morphing into desperate aggression. He grabbed his phone and signaled the private security guards stationed at the doors.

"Get this crazy girl out of here! She is armed and dangerous!"
he roared, pointing at Mia.

Two burly guards rushed forward, tackling Mia to the polished floor. The heavy axe clattered away, sliding across the tiles. Mia struggled, screaming at the top of her lungs,

"Don't let him close it! She's alive! Arthur is trying to kill her!"

Eleanor, fueled by a grandmother's desperate instinct, ignored Arthur's shouts. With trembling hands, she clawed at the brass latches of the coffin. Arthur tried to pull her back, his grip bruising her arm.

"Eleanor, stop! It is just gas escaping the body, it is a medical phenomenon!"
he lied frantically.

But another muffled sob echoed from the box. With a final, desperate heave, Eleanor broke the latch and flung the lid open. The crowd erupted into screams and gasps as Emma Vance slowly sat up, her face deathly pale, her eyes wide with terror. She was weak, shivering, and clutching her chest, but she was unmistakably alive.

Eleanor wrapped her arms around her granddaughter, weeping uncontrollably.

"Oh my darling, you're alive! How is this possible?"

Emma raised a trembling finger, pointing it directly at Arthur, who was backing toward the exit.

"He... he poisoned me,"
Emma gasped, her voice raw and strained.
"The tea he gave me... it paralyzed me. I could hear everything, but I couldn't move. He wanted my inheritance."

Realizing his crime was laid bare, Arthur’s face turned monstrous. He snatched the fallen axe from the floor, blocking the exit.

"Nobody moves!"
he screamed, waving the weapon wildly.
"Nobody leaves this room!"

he screamed, waving the weapon wildly. "Nobody leaves this room!"
