Previously: When kind-hearted teen server Leo was fired on the spot for helping a bruised stranger in the pouring rain, he thought he lost everything. But the stranger was holding a massive secret.

The Arrival of the Fleet

Thomas let out a harsh laugh, retreating back into the dry warmth of the cafe and slamming the door shut. Leo, now jobless and shivering, didn't care. He remained on the wet concrete, helping the bruised man sit up against the brick wall. "Don't worry about him," Leo said softly, wiping the rain from his own eyes. "Are you sure you don't need an ambulance?"

The man, Marcus, shook his head. "No. My people are already on their way. I was mugged a few blocks away, and they took my wallet and keys. I managed to escape, but I was exhausted. I just needed a moment."

Before Leo could fully process the words, the quiet street was suddenly illuminated by bright, white headlights. Two sleek, black luxury SUVs tore through the rain, pulling up directly to the curb with their hazard lights blinking. The doors flew open, and three tall men in sharp, expensive suits stepped out, holding large black umbrellas. They moved with military precision, ignoring the downpour as they rushed toward the wet sidewalk.

"Mr. Vance!" the lead man exclaimed, kneeling quickly beside Marcus. "We've been searching everywhere for you. Are you injured?"
"I'm fine, Arthur," Marcus said, accepting the man's hand as he was helped to his feet. "Just a bit bruised. But this young man here looked after me."

Inside the cafe, Thomas had been watching through the window, his smug expression quickly melting into absolute horror. He recognized the name. Marcus Vance was not just a random stranger; he was the billionaire real estate mogul who owned the entire harbor development, including the very building Midnight Harbor Cafe leased. In fact, Vance Enterprises owned the entire franchise.

The cafe door flew open again, but this time, Thomas practically tumbled out, his face pale and sweating despite the cold air.

"Mr. Vance! Oh my goodness, I had no idea!" Thomas stammered, his voice trembling as he tried to shield Marcus with his own hands. "Please, come inside! We have warm towels, fresh coffee... anything you need!"
