Marcus turned slowly, his gaze icy as he looked at the trembling manager. The warmth that had been in his eyes when looking at Leo was entirely gone. "Not your problem, right? That’s what you said," Marcus recalled, his voice dripping with quiet authority.

"I... I was just trying to protect the business, sir!" Thomas pleaded, his hands shaking. "I didn't mean—"

"You showed me who you are when you thought I had nothing to offer you," Marcus interrupted. "And you showed this young man the door because he dared to be human."

Marcus looked at the lead security guard. "Arthur, contact our legal team. I want the lease for this establishment terminated by tomorrow morning, and I want this man barred from any Vance-owned properties permanently."

Thomas gasped, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. He realized his career, his livelihood, and his reputation were ruined in a single instant. Without another word, Arthur escorted the ruined manager away.

Marcus then turned his attention back to Leo, who was standing there dazed, soaked to the bone. Marcus placed a warm, dry hand on the teenager's shoulder. "You lost your job tonight because of me, Leo. But I think we can find you a much better one."

"I don't know what to say, sir," Leo stammered. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay."

"And that is exactly why you deserve the world," Marcus smiled. "How would you like to run this cafe yourself? I’ll fund a full renovation, pay for your business tuition, and make you the youngest partner in my hospitality division."

Tears mingled with the rain on Leo's cheeks as he nodded, realizing his life had changed forever in the span of a single rainy hour. He had stepped into the storm to help a stranger, and in doing so, he had walked right into his own bright future.
