Esteban dropped to his knees beside the hospital bed, tears blurring his vision as he took Sarah's cold hand in his. "Sarah, I'm here. I'm so sorry it took me so long to find you," he choked out. Sarah looked at him with a mixture of disbelief and profound exhaustion. Before she could speak, the hospital room door slammed open.
