My Arrogant Ex Blocked Me From My Jet, Unaware I Bought the Entire Company
Previously: When Ciara's arrogant ex-fiancé tried to throw her off a private jet, he had no idea she was the new owner of the entire aviation company.
The interior of the private jet was a masterpiece of cream leather and polished walnut. Ciara sat down in one of the plush captain's chairs, crossing her legs elegantly. Marcus burst into the cabin, his chest heaving, his professional composure completely shattered.
"Ciara? Is that really you?" he whispered, his eyes darting around the luxurious space. "How... how are you doing this?"
"It's amazing what a person can accomplish when they aren't carrying dead weight, Marcus," Ciara said, her voice smooth as silk. "I own Apex Charters now. Which means, technically, I own your contract."
Marcus fell to his knees beside her chair, his hands clasped in a desperate plea. The arrogant captain was gone, replaced by the same cowardly boy who had run away in the middle of the night.

The Desperate Plea
"Please, Ciara, you can't fire me," he begged. "I'm begging you. I'm engaged to Alyssa. Her father is Harold Vance, one of the primary board members here. If I lose this job, Harold will call off the wedding, and my life will be ruined. Please, for the sake of what we used to have!"
Ciara felt a cold knot of disgust tighten in her stomach.
"What we used to have? You mean when I worked double shifts to pay for your flight school, only for you to dump me with a sticky note?"
Before Marcus could answer, the cabin door opened, and two people stepped inside: Harold Vance, the former majority owner of the charter company, and his daughter, Alyssa.
Marcus scrambled to his feet, his face turning from pale to translucent. In a desperate bid to save himself, he pointed a shaking finger at Ciara.
"Harold! Alyssa! Thank God you're here," Marcus lied smoothly, trying to reclaim his footing. "This woman... she's a delusional stalker from my past. She snuck onto the tarmac and is trying to harass me into losing my job! We need security to throw her out immediately!"
Alyssa looked at Ciara, then at Marcus, her expression unreadable. Harold, however, stepped forward with a stern look on his face.
