Julian looked at his mother, then at the woman he had promised to marry. The image of his gentle mother kneeling on the floor, forced to polish shoes just to please Victoria’s vanity, burned deeply in his mind. He suddenly realized the terrifying truth of Victoria's greedy nature.

she screamed, her elegant facade completely shattering. Thomas stepped forward, offering a cold, professional smile.

"I suggest you pack your things and leave immediately, Miss Victoria. If you are not off the property in one hour, I will have security escort you."

Realizing she had lost everything, Victoria stormed out of the room, her heels clicking angrily against the floor she had just demanded Helen clean. Helen looked up at her son, tears of relief streaming down her face.

she whispered. Julian hugged her tightly.

"I'm sorry I didn't speak up sooner, Mom. This is your home, and it always will be."
