Previously: When Richard left his daughter Lily with his new wife Eleanor, he thought she was in safe hands. But a secret security app on his phone revealed a terrifying truth.

The Confrontation

The heavy front door slammed open with a deafening crash, bouncing off the interior wall. Eleanor’s smug smile instantly dissolved into absolute terror. The silver bowl slipped from her fingers, sending nuts scattering across the wet marble floor. She took a sharp step backward, her eyes wide as she stared at her husband standing in the doorway, his chest heaving with rage.

"Richard!" Eleanor gasped, her voice losing all its cold authority. "You... you're supposed to be on your flight!"

Lily didn't hesitate. She dropped the heavy mop and sprinted across the slippery floor, throwing her arms around Richard’s legs. She buried her face in his tweed jacket, sobbing uncontrollably. Richard knelt down, wrapping his arms tightly around his daughter, kissing her forehead. "I've got you, sweetheart. Daddy's here. I've got you," he whispered, his eyes locked onto Eleanor.

When Richard stood up, his face was a mask of cold fury. "Get out of my house," he said, his voice dangerously low. "Pack your things and get out before I call the police."

But Eleanor’s panic was short-lived. She took a deep breath, smoothing her designer blouse, and a calculated, wicked grin crept back onto her face. She knew the terms of their marriage. She knew the leverage she held.

"You can't just throw me out, Richard," Eleanor said smoothly, stepping over the spilled nuts. "Have you forgotten our prenuptial agreement? If you file for divorce, I get fifty percent of your estate, this house, and half of your business assets. And if you try to accuse me of anything, it's my word against a dramatic child."

She reached into her designer purse and pulled out a document, tossing it onto the console table. It was a forged power of attorney, bearing Richard’s signature. She had already emptied their joint accounts that very morning. She thought she had him completely trapped in a financial and legal nightmare.
