Panic erupted in the funeral home. While several mourners fainted, Emily acted with the swift precision of a trained medical professional. She shoved David aside and ripped the remaining lid panels away. With the help of a stunned family friend, she lifted Clara’s limp, shivering body from the satin-lined coffin. Clara was desperately gasping for air, her skin icy cold, but her eyes were wide open and filled with terror. Emily immediately began checking her vitals, shouting for someone to call 911.

David stood paralyzed, his eyes darting toward the exit.

"This is a mistake,"

he stammered, his voice shaking.

"The doctors declared her dead! It was a tragic medical error!"

But Emily glared at him, her eyes burning with fierce anger.

"This wasn't an error, David. It was murder,"

Clara's personal physician, who happened to be David’s close friend, had signed the death certificate without a proper autopsy.

Emily had realized the horrifying truth: Clara had been buried alive to secure her multi-million dollar estate before she could alter her will. Emily had raced to the funeral home, knowing there was no time to wait for the police. David tried to deny the accusations, but Clara, weak and trembling, pointed a frail finger at her son.
