Previously: When Police Captain Sarah's sister Chloe is hospitalized after a suspicious crash, a sudden hospital room attack forces Sarah to fight for her sister's life and uncover a shocking betrayal.

The Ultimate Stand

Sarah knew she couldn't run with Chloe in her fragile state. Instead, she had to fight. She dragged a heavy medical cart to block the door, creating a temporary barrier. "Stay down, Chloe. No matter what happens, do not move," Sarah commanded, her eyes scanning the dim room for any tactical advantage. The doorknob jiggled, followed by a heavy shoulder slamming against the wood. The lock gave way, and the door swung open, stopped only by the heavy cart.

A figure in a tactical uniform squeezed through—but it wasn't a SWAT officer Sarah recognized. It was Lieutenant Miller, her own deputy. In his hand, he held a silenced pistol. "Step aside, Captain," Miller sneered, his voice devoid of emotion. "Just give us the drive, and we can make this look like a tragic medical complication. Don't throw your life away for her." Sarah glared at the man she had trusted for five years. "You betrayed the badge, Miller. And you touched my family. That was your last mistake."

Before Miller could raise his weapon, Sarah kicked the medical cart forward, pinning him against the doorframe. She lunged, grabbing his wrist and twisting it until the gun clattered to the floor. They grappled in the dark, Miller using his weight to push her against the wall. But Sarah's resolve was unbreakable. With a final, desperate surge of strength, she delivered a sharp elbow to his nose, followed by a sweep of his legs. Miller crashed to the floor, unconscious.

An hour later, state troopers flooded the hospital, securing the scene and taking both Miller and Mark into custody. The encrypted drive was recovered, exposing a dozen corrupt officials. Sitting by Chloe's bedside as the morning sun filtered through the window, Sarah finally let her guard down, holding her sister's hand. She had saved Chloe's life and cleansed her precinct, proving that the bond of family and true justice could never be broken by betrayal.
