The doors of the black SUVs flew open, and sharp-suited men stepped out, led by an imposing older man with iron-grey hair. It was Arthur Vance, Olivia’s father, a legendary real estate tycoon known for his ruthless business tactics and fierce devotion to his family. Seeing his pregnant daughter standing in the dirt amidst her ruined clothes, Arthur's eyes turned to ice.

Richard’s smug smile faltered for a fraction of a second before he tried to regain his composure. He walked down the steps, hands in his pockets, attempting to project authority.

"Arthur," Richard said, his voice tight. "You’re trespassing on my property. Olivia was served legal divorce papers, and she has no right to be here anymore. I suggest you take her and get off my land."

Arthur didn't even look at Richard. He walked straight to Olivia, wrapping a protective arm around her shoulders. "Are you okay, sweetheart?" he whispered. Olivia nodded, wiping her tears, feeling safe for the first time in months.

Arthur turned his gaze to Richard, a slow, dangerous smile spreading across his face. One of the lawyers behind him stepped forward, opening a leather briefcase and pulling out a thick stack of legal documents.

"Your land, Richard?" Arthur asked, his voice echoing in the quiet courtyard. "I think you’ve made a very expensive mistake."

Sarah looked nervously at Richard, her hand slipping away from his arm. "Richard, what is he talking about?" she whispered.

The lawyer handed the documents directly to Richard. "Six months ago, your development company went into severe default," the lawyer explained calmly. "To prevent foreclosure on this chateau, you took an anonymous bailout from Vanguard Holdings. What you didn't check was who owns Vanguard."

Richard’s face drained of color as he flipped through the pages, his eyes landing on the signature at the bottom of the deed.
