He Threw His Pregnant Ex-Wife Out, Unaware Her Father Owned the Chateau
Previously: When Richard threw his pregnant ex-wife Olivia out of their luxury estate to move his new lover in, he thought he won. But Olivia’s phone call changed everything.
The Ultimate Eviction
The deed to the chateau was registered under Vanguard Holdings, which was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Arthur Vance's empire. Richard had signed over the ownership of the entire estate in exchange for the cash injection, believing he could buy it back before anyone noticed. He had essentially been living in the chateau as a tenant, with the lease tied directly to his marriage to Olivia.
"Since the marriage is legally dissolved as of today," Arthur announced, "your lease is officially terminated. You have exactly thirty minutes to pack whatever fits into your pockets and vacate my daughter's property."
Richard stammered, his bravado completely shattered. "Arthur, please, we can work this out! Sarah and I have nowhere to go!" He looked desperately at Olivia. "Olivia, please, think of our baby! We need a home!"
Olivia looked at the man who had just thrown her clothes into the dirt, the man who had shown her zero mercy only minutes before. She felt a profound sense of peace. "You should have thought about our baby before you threw my suitcase down the steps, Richard," she said quietly.
Sarah, realizing that Richard was completely broke and about to be homeless, looked at him with disgust. Without saying a word, she grabbed her designer handbag, turned on her heel, and walked down the driveway, leaving Richard standing entirely alone.
The security guards, realizing who actually signed their paychecks, stepped forward. Under Arthur’s direction, they escorted a weeping, ruined Richard off the premises. He left with nothing but the clothes on his back.
Olivia looked up at the grand chateau, realizing she didn't want to live in a place filled with such bitter memories. She turned to her father with a smile. "Let's sell it, Dad. I want to start fresh." And she did, raising her beautiful child in a home filled with love, security, and the unbreakable bond of family. True strength isn't found in grand estates, but in the family that stands by you when the walls crumble.
