Previously: When David returned early from his business trip, he expected a warm family welcome. Instead, he found his pregnant wife on her knees scrubbing the floor while his mother watched coldly.

A Mother’s Fall from Grace

David turned the screen toward his mother. The video played in high definition, capturing Beatrice’s sneering face and her cruel words on crystal-clear audio. Beatrice stared at the screen, her elegant facade finally cracking. She opened her mouth to make another excuse, but David silenced her with a single, sharp raise of his hand.

"Get out of my house," David said, his voice trembling with absolute fury.

Beatrice gasped, her hand flying to her pearl necklace. "How dare you speak to me that way! I am your mother! I raised you, and I own a share of this estate!"

David knelt beside Clara, gently taking the soapy brush from her trembling hands. He helped her stand, wrapping his arms around her and kissing her forehead. Only when Clara was safely seated did he turn back to his mother, his eyes cold as ice.

"You don't own a single brick of this house, Mother," David said quietly. "I bought this home with my own earnings. And as of this exact moment, I am freezing the family trust fund account that pays for your penthouse, your luxury car, and your country club membership. You have exactly one hour to pack your bags and leave. If you are still here when the clock strikes, I will have security escort you out."

Beatrice looked at her son, realizing for the first time that her reign of manipulation was officially over. She stood up, her face pale, and fled up the stairs without another word. David held Clara tightly, promising her that no one would ever hurt her again. Their home was finally peaceful, a sanctuary built on love, respect, and the fierce protection of the family they were building together. True strength is not found in elegant pearls or wealthy status, but in the courage to stand up for the ones we love.
