Previously: When Audrey proposed to a homeless man in a crowded plaza, she didn't expect his past—and a ruthless family conspiracy—to catch up with them so quickly.

Justice and Second Chances

Julian’s face went pale. He saw the shift in Joseph’s eyes and knew his secret was out.

"Force him into the car, now!"
Julian panicked, shouting at his guards. But the crowd of onlookers was no longer silent. Witnessing the aggression, several bystanders stepped forward, blocking the guards. At that moment, the wail of police sirens echoed through the streets. Audrey had called the authorities before she even approached Joseph, knowing Julian would try something desperate if he found out.

Three police cruisers skidded to a halt around the plaza. Officers rushed out, weapons drawn, ordering Julian’s guards to step away. Julian tried to claim it was a misunderstanding, but Joseph stepped forward, his voice carrying the authority of a true leader.

"Officer, arrest this man,"
Joseph said, pointing at Julian.
"My name is Joseph Vance. Five years ago, Julian Vance attempted to murder me to steal my family's legacy. My memory has returned, and I am ready to testify."

The plaza erupted into murmurs as Julian was handcuffed and led away, his empire crumbling in a matter of seconds. Joseph turned to Audrey, his eyes shining with tears. He knelt down on the stone pavement, picking up the slightly dusty gold ring, and slipped it onto her finger.

"I remember everything,"
he whispered, pulling her into a fierce embrace.
"Especially how much I love you."

Months later, Joseph was formally reinstated as the head of the Vance empire. He used his immense wealth to fund shelters and programs for the homeless who had protected him when he had nothing. Surrounded by loved ones, Joseph and Audrey finally married, proving that true love can light the way back from even the deepest darkness.
