You're supposed to be dead!" he stammered, his hand shaking as he reached for his phone to call the estate security. Leo didn't give him the chance. He stepped forward and snatched the phone, crushing it beneath his heavy combat boot.
Leo knelt beside Clara, his tough exterior softening as he wrapped his arms around her trembling frame.

he whispered. Clara clung to his uniform, sobbing uncontrollably. As she caught her breath, she revealed the horrifying truth. They had told Clara that Leo had been killed in action, intercepting all of his letters and cutting off her communication with the outside world. They forced her into servitude, slowly stripping away her dignity and her inheritance.
Victoria struggled to her feet, clutching her bruised neck, her eyes filled with venom.

she hissed, trying to regain her composure.
"Your father left everything to me in his will. You and your pathetic sister have nothing. Get out of my house before I have you arrested for assault!"
