Victoria's jaw dropped as she stared at Thomas. The silence in the room was deafening, broken only by the soft sound of Helen rising slowly to her feet, dusting off her white dress. Julian rushed to his mother's side, wrapping a protective arm around her shoulders as he glared at his fiancée.

"What are you talking about, Thomas?"

Victoria hissed, her voice trembling with rising panic.

"Julian and I signed the prenuptial agreement last week! This house belongs to the family estate, and as Julian's future wife, I have co-ownership!"

Thomas calmly adjusted his glasses and pulled a certified deed from his folder. He looked at Victoria with a look of professional disdain.

"Your engagement contract had a clause stating you would share in the estate only if the property remained in Julian's name,"

Thomas explained calmly.

"However, Julian's late father left a specific mandate. If Julian ever engaged himself to someone who showed clear signs of financial greed or malicious intent toward his mother, the property would immediately and irrevocably transfer solely to Helen."

Victoria gasped, turning her furious gaze to Julian.

"You knew about this? You set me up?"

she screamed, her polished facade completely crumbling.

Julian shook his head, his eyes filled with disappointment. He had wanted to believe Victoria loved him for who he was, but his father's lawyer had insisted on a test. Thomas had kept the transfer document ready, waiting to see how Victoria would treat Helen once she believed she had secured her place in the family.
