She Saved A Hungry Biker, Now He Has Returned To Save Her Legacy
Previously: When waitress Hannah offered a free meal to a rugged biker named Hank, she had no idea who he really was. Years later, he returned with an army to repay the debt.
Just as Hannah's hands began to tremble around the stack of cash, the screech of expensive tires cut through the roar of the motorcycle engines. A sleek black sedan pulled into the diner lot, kicking up a cloud of dust. Richard Vance, the ruthless developer, stepped out, straightening his expensive suit. He looked at the gathered bikers with utter disdain, a smug grin plastered across his face.
The Confrontation in the Dust
"What's this, Hannah? A charity drive?"
Vance sneered, walking toward the porch.
"It's too late for pocket change. The bank signed over the foreclosure rights to my firm this morning. This land belongs to me now. Pack your bags."
Hannah felt her heart sink, but Hank stepped forward, his massive frame completely eclipsing the sunlight and casting a long shadow over Vance. The other eleven bikers cut their engines in perfect unison, stepping off their rides. The sudden, heavy silence in the desert air was suffocating.
"The girl told you the diner's debts are paid,"
Hank said, his voice dangerously low.
"Which means you have no business here, Vance."
Vance laughed nervously, adjusting his tie.
"You don't understand how the law works, old man. I bought the primary mortgage. Even if she has the cash, the deadline was noon today. It's past noon. This diner is legally mine."
Hank reached back into his leather vest, but he didn't pull out more money. Instead, he drew a weathered, official-looking yellow document. He unfolded it slowly, holding it right in front of Vance's face.
"My name is Hank 'The Bear' Miller,"
Hank growled, his eyes locking onto the developer's pale face.
"And twenty-five years ago, I co-signed the original deed of this land with Hannah's father. Under the survivorship clause, this property cannot be sold, foreclosed, or transferred without my written consent. Do you see my signature on your little bank contract, Vance?"
Vance's smug grin vanished instantly. He snatched the paper, his eyes scanning the legal text as his face turned a ghostly shade of white.
