The Unmasking at the Mansion

The grand entrance of the marble mansion was pristine, illuminated by the bright afternoon sun filtering through the towering glass windows. Audrey knelt on the cold, wet floor, her light cream dress absorbing the dirty water as she scrubbed a fresh spill. She didn't complain, keeping her head down, though the humiliation stung. Above her stood Beatrice, draped in a deep red satin dress, holding a half-empty cocktail glass with an air of absolute superiority.

Suddenly, the heavy double doors swung open. Henry stepped inside, wearing his sharp dark grey suit and carrying his tan briefcase. He stopped dead in his tracks, his eyes widening in complete shock as he took in the scene. His gaze locked onto Audrey, who looked up with a mixture of sadness and quiet resignation.

"She's just doing what she's good at, cleaning," Beatrice said, stepping forward with a smug, self-satisfied smile, completely oblivious to the storm brewing in Henry's eyes.

Henry’s face contorted with a fury so intense it made Beatrice's smile falter. Without taking his eyes off Beatrice, he reached into his pocket, pulled out his phone, and pressed it to his ear. His voice was a low, dangerous growl.

"Cancel everything. Now," Henry demanded into the receiver.

Beatrice blinked, her confidence evaporating. "What?" she stammered, looking between Henry and the girl on the floor.

"This house is no longer yours," Henry replied coldly, his voice echoing off the high marble columns.

Beatrice’s face fell in sheer disbelief as the weight of his words began to sink in. Audrey looked up, her eyes glistening with unshed tears, while Henry slowly lowered his phone, his stern glare promising that this was only the beginning of Beatrice's reckoning.
