Previously: When Beatrice forced a young woman in a cream dress to scrub the wet marble lobby floor, she thought she was just humoring a maid. She had no idea who she was actually insulting.

A Lesson in Grace

Beatrice fell to her knees on the exact spot where Audrey had been kneeling just moments before. The irony was suffocating. "Henry, please," she sobbed, grasping at the hem of his trousers. "I love you. I can explain everything. Don't throw me out like this!"

Henry looked down at her, his expression devoid of any warmth. "The wedding is off. The prenuptial agreement is void, and my security team will escort you and your family out of this estate within the hour. You wanted a servant, Beatrice, but you ended up being the one begging on the floor."

Audrey stepped forward, looking down at the weeping woman. Instead of mocking her, Audrey offered Beatrice a clean linen towel from her bag. "Here," Audrey said quietly. "Clean yourself up. True elegance isn't about the dress you wear or the house you live in. It's about how you treat others."

Beatrice stared at the towel, too ashamed to take it. She slowly stood up, her head bowed, and walked out of the grand marble entrance, leaving behind the life of luxury she had so desperately tried to steal.

Henry wrapped an arm around Audrey's shoulders, his anger finally melting away. "I'm sorry you had to go through that," he murmured, kissing the top of her head.

Audrey smiled, looking around the beautiful marble hall that was now truly theirs, free from malice and deceit. "Don't be sorry, Henry," she said. "Sometimes, a little mess is exactly what you need to see who is truly clean on the inside."

In the end, Beatrice learned the hardest lesson of all: those who build their lives on cruelty and lies will always find themselves cleaning up the ruins of their own making.
