Chloe stood up, shivering violently, her soaked ponytail plastering to her neck. Water dripped from the hem of her yellow dress onto the expensive rug.

"I will have you thrown out of this house, Leo! I own this place now, and both of you are living here on my charity!"She glared at her mother, who was frantically trying to mop up the water with a towel.

Leo stepped between his sister and their trembling mother, his eyes flashing behind his glasses.
"Don't you dare speak to her like that again, Chloe,"he said, his voice deadly calm.
"You think you own this house? You think you can treat Mom like a maid just because of Dad's old will?"
Chloe sneered, wiping water from her eyes.
"The legal documents don't lie, little brother. Dad left the estate to me. I can evict you both tomorrow."
For years, Chloe had used the threat of eviction to control her family. Leo slowly reached into his back pocket and pulled out a damp, sealed envelope. He had found it hidden deep within their father's old locked workbench in the garage.
"Actually, Chloe, the legal documents do lie—especially when you hide the real ones,"Leo said, holding up the papers.
