Elizabeth let out a desperate, hysterical laugh. "You think you can just throw me out? I am the matriarch of this family now!" She reached into her designer purse, her fingers clawing for something. The crowd gasped, fearing she might be reaching for a weapon. But instead, she pulled out a flash drive, waving it triumphantly.

"I have the offshore account details!" she shrieked. "If you ruin me, William, I will delete the access codes. You and Alice will never see a single dime of Arthur's international assets!"

William smiled, a calm, victorious expression that made Elizabeth freeze. "Go ahead and delete it, Elizabeth," he said softly. "Those accounts were frozen by federal authorities three hours ago. Your access has already been revoked."

Right on cue, the grand double doors opened again. Two uniformed police officers stepped into the vestibule, accompanied by a detective. They walked past the stunned guests straight toward Elizabeth. "Elizabeth Sterling, you are under arrest for grand larceny, document forgery, and financial fraud," the detective announced, reading her her rights as the officers placed her in handcuffs. Elizabeth screamed and cursed, her purple satin dress rustling as she was led away, leaving her sparkling drink spilled on the marble floor alongside her dignity.

Alice stood beside William, tears of relief finally washing away the pain of the last two years. She looked at the grand vestibule, which suddenly felt warm and welcoming again. William handed her the keys to the estate, smiling warmly.

"Welcome home, Alice," he whispered. "Your father would be so proud of you."

Alice realized that justice might be delayed, but when truth and loyalty stand together, even the most elaborate web of lies will eventually crumble to pieces.
