The Billionaire's Stolen Son: A Birthmark Reveals the Truth in the Orphanage
Previously: When billionaire Christian Vale visits an orphanage, a trembling boy's birthmark stops him cold. The director's cruelty hides a dark secret—and his wife's locket just shattered their world.
The Cellar's Secret
The police arrived within the hour, their flashing lights painting the orphanage's brick facade in red and blue. Madame Vane was handcuffed, still protesting, but her words faded into the night as officers led her away.
Lucas sat in the back of Christian's black SUV, wrapped in a blanket that smelled of expensive perfume and safety. Hannah held his hand, her thumb tracing circles over his knuckles.

"We're taking you home, sweetheart," she murmured.
But Lucas couldn't shake the chill that had settled in his bones. He looked at Christian, who was on the phone, his expression grim.
"What is it?" Hannah asked.
Christian lowered the phone, his eyes finding Lucas. "The director's last words... about another one. We need to check the records."
They drove back to the orphanage as the sun began to rise. The building looked different in the pale light—smaller, less intimidating. But Lucas's heart raced as they stepped inside.
Officer Ramirez, a kind-faced woman with a no-nonsense attitude, met them at the door. "We've found something in the basement," she said slowly. "You're going to want to see this."
They followed her down a narrow staircase into a dim corridor. At the end, a heavy iron door stood ajar. Inside, the room was cold, lit by a single bulb.
In the corner, huddled on a thin mattress, was a boy about Lucas's age. He was thin, with the same messy dark hair, and his leg was in a brace—identical to Lucas's.
Lucas gasped. "Who is that?"
Christian knelt beside the boy, who flinched. "Hey, it's okay. We're here to help."
The boy looked up, and Lucas saw it—the same winged lion birthmark on his inner wrist.
"My name is Caleb," the boy whispered. "Are you my parents?"
Hannah let out a sob, covering her mouth. Christian pulled both boys into his arms, his shoulders shaking.
"We're your parents," he said, his voice thick. "Both of you. We didn't know—we didn't know there were two."
But as they led Caleb upstairs, Lucas felt a knot tighten in his stomach. Caleb was his twin, he realized. The brother he never knew he had.
"How did she get both of you?" Officer Ramirez asked, flipping through a file. "The records show you were born at different hospitals, on different days."
Lucas shook his head. "No, we were born together. I remember—" he stopped. "I don't remember anything."
Caleb spoke up, his voice small. "She told us we were cursed. That if anyone ever found out, we'd be killed."
Christian's face hardened. "She's going to pay for every moment of pain she caused."
But as they drove away, Lucas felt a strange sense of dread. Madame Vane's words echoed in his mind: You think you've won? There's another one.
Another one. But they had both boys now. Unless...
"Dad," Lucas said softly, using the word for the first time. "What if there are more?"
Christian met his eyes in the rearview mirror. "Then we'll find them all."
But the road ahead was dark, and Lucas couldn't shake the feeling that the nightmare wasn't over.
