The Day John Wick's Son Walked Into a Dusty Biker Bar Seeking Sanctuary
Previously: When a terrified nine-year-old boy named Eli ran into a dusty biker bar begging for help, the massive biker Knox didn't expect the boy's father to be a legendary assassin.
The Shadow of the High Table
Within seconds, the heavy iron deadbolts clicked into place. The bikers inside the Rusty Anchor, hardened men who had seen their share of violence, didn't ask questions. They grabbed shotguns from beneath the counter and drew pistols from their waistbands. Knox grabbed Eli by the shoulder, guiding him swiftly toward a heavy steel door at the back of the barβa fortified safe room built for the worst-case scenarios.
"Stay in here, kid. Do not open this door for anyone but me," Knox instructed, his voice firm but reassuring.
Eli nodded bravely, clutching the gold coin tightly against his chest. As the steel door hissed shut, the sound of screeching tires echoed from the dusty parking lot outside. Three black, unmarked SUVs tore through the gravel, stopping in a perfect tactical formation. Before Knox could even return to the main hall, the front doors of the bar were blown off their hinges in a shower of wood splinters and smoke.
Armed men in sleek, dark tactical gear poured into the room, their weapons raised. Leading them was Silas, a cold-eyed enforcer wearing an expensive tailored suit beneath a tactical vest. He stepped over the debris, his eyes scanning the defensive line of bikers.
"We are here for the boy," Silas said, his voice smooth and devoid of emotion. "Hand him over, and we leave this pathetic establishment intact. Resist, and you all die."
Knox stepped forward, his massive frame dwarfing the mercenary leader. He raised his hand, revealing a matching gold coin of his own, a symbol of a life he had tried to bury.
"This bar is sanctuary, and the boy is under my protection," Knox growled, his eyes burning with fury. "You have no authority here, Silas. I know who sent you, and I know what happens to people who break the rules."
"The rules have changed, Knox," Silas sneered, his finger tightening on the trigger of his weapon. "His father is gone. There is no one left to protect him. Choose your side."
