Previously: A billionaire CEO storms into a five-star dining room to find her elderly father on his knees, wiping soup. The maître d' who dared humiliate him is about to learn who truly holds the power.

The penthouse apartment at the top of the Apex Tower was warm and quiet, the city lights glittering beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows like a sea of stars. Victoria had ordered dinner from a small Italian restaurant her father loved — the kind of place with red-checkered tablecloths and garlic bread that made your fingers shine. She had changed out of her blood-stained suit into a simple cashmere sweater and jeans, looking more like the girl she used to be than the billionaire she had become.

Roberto sat on the sofa, his hands wrapped around a cup of tea, his knuckles freshly bandaged. Ethan was curled up beside him, his head on his grandfather's shoulder, finally calm.

"You didn't have to come," Roberto said quietly.

"Yes, I did," Victoria said, sitting down across from him. "Dad, I've been thinking about this for a long time. I never wanted to embarrass you. But I can't keep pretending you're just another employee."

Roberto looked up, his eyes glistening. "I never wanted to be a burden."

"You're not a burden," Victoria said, her voice fierce. "You're the reason I am who I am. You taught me to work hard, to be kind, to never look down on anyone. You taught me that every job matters, and every person deserves respect."

She paused, pulling a folder from the coffee table. "I want to offer you something."

Roberto looked at the folder, then at his daughter. "What is it?"

"I'm creating a new position," she said. "Head of Staff Welfare. You'll have an office, a team, and a budget. You'll make sure every employee in this building is treated with dignity — from the dishwashers to the CEOs. You'll be the person who makes sure no one ever has to kneel on a wet floor again."

Roberto stared at her, his mouth open. "Victoria… that's… I don't know what to say."

"Say yes," she said, smiling. "Please."

He looked down at his hands, the calloused hands that had scrubbed so many pots, so many years. Then he looked at his daughter, the little girl he had raised to be strong and fair. And he nodded.

"Yes," he said. "Yes, I'll do it."

Ethan cheered, wrapping his arms around both of them. Victoria hugged her father tight, feeling the warmth of his old wool sweater against her cheek.

"But I have one condition," Roberto said, pulling back, a mischievous glint in his eye.

"What?" Victoria asked.

"You have to let me keep my dish tub," he said, grinning. "It's lucky."

Victoria laughed, the sound bright and unguarded. "Deal."

And in that moment, with the city lights twinkling outside and her family gathered close, Victoria knew that the real luxury wasn't the penthouse or the power or the money. It was the people who loved her, and the man who had taught her that every single person deserved to be treated like they mattered.

Because at the end of the day, that was the only legacy that counted.
