The lead security officer stepped forward, placing a firm hand on Timothy's shoulder, stopping him in his tracks.

"You are speaking to Miles Vance,"

"The principal shareholder and CEO of Vance Hospitality Group."

Timothy's face drained of all color. The Midnight Harbor Cafe was a franchise owned entirely by the Vance Hospitality Group. Timothy had just fired an eighteen-year-old kid for helping the ultimate boss of his entire career. He began to stammer, his hands shaking.

"Mr. Vance! I—I had no idea! I was only trying to protect the business, I swear! The boy was neglecting his duties..."

Miles raised a hand, instantly silencing the frantic manager.

"You showed a complete lack of basic human decency,"

"You would rather let a man suffer in the freezing rain than risk a smudge on your window. That is not the philosophy of my company. Timothy, you are relieved of your duties, effective immediately. Pack your things."

Timothy stood frozen as the security team escorted him inside to gather his belongings. Miles then turned back to Levi, his expression softening into a warm, genuine smile. He placed a hand on the young man's wet shoulder.

"You risked your livelihood to help a stranger, Levi. The world needs more people like you."

The next day, Levi was called to the corporate headquarters of Vance Hospitality. He was not only offered his job back, but he was appointed as the new general manager of the Midnight Harbor Cafe, with a salary that would fully cover his college tuition. Miles also ensured that Levi's brave act was recognized with a community hero scholarship.
