Previously: When a wealthy woman cruelly humiliates a distressed young girl in a busy bakery, an elderly baker steps in with a shocking secret that turns the tables completely.

A Helping Hand and a Hidden Identity

Before Caroline could utter another cruel remark, Frank stepped out from behind the counter. He bypassed Caroline completely, kneeling down on the hard floor next to Sophia. With gentle hands, he helped her gather the remaining coins and offered his arm to help her stand.

"Come with me, young lady," Frank said softly, guiding the sobbing girl to a quiet booth near the back of the bakery. He brought her a warm cup of tea and a fresh, hot pastry. "Eat. You're safe here."

Caroline watched this with utter disbelief, her face contorting in rage. "Frank, is it? Do you know who she is? She's a thief and a parasite. I would watch your back if I were you," she sneered, stepping closer to the booth.

Frank stood tall, his gentle demeanor instantly hardening into steel. "I know exactly who is standing in front of me, Caroline. And it isn't a parasite. It's a young woman who deserves respect—something you clearly know nothing about."

"How dare you speak to me that way!" Caroline gasped. "I am one of the wealthiest patrons of this establishment. I could have you fired with a single phone call to the owner of this plaza!"

Frank let out a low, dry chuckle. "Is that so? You want to call the owner of the plaza? Go ahead, Caroline. Dial the number. I'll wait."

Sophia looked up, her eyes wide with fear, but Frank gave her a reassuring nod. Caroline pulled out her phone, dialing furiously, only for Frank's pocket to begin ringing. He pulled out a sleek smartphone, silencing the call with a smirk.

"You see, Caroline, I don't just bake the bread here," Frank said, his voice calm but powerful. "I own this entire shopping center. And if I recall correctly, your luxury boutique's lease is up for renewal next week."
